Security information & Risk Assessments

We understand that often in your preparation for the big day, you are asked to risk assess potential problems and provide solutions should those risks occur. To help you with this risk assessment from each of our arenas will be available towards the end of the year and can be found in the Teacher Resources section under the Teacher Centre.

Young Voices must receive notice of any incident or occasion involving the safety of the children under the control of their Teacher/s. The safety and security of our schools and audience is paramount and we have stringent measures in place across the site, to protect all of our visitors.

The arena has an incredibly strong, visible and professional security team who continuously patrol the site to ensure the safety of our visitors. The venues and Young Voices have a public liability insurance policy that covers every concert.

For the health and safety of the guests the Venue has the sole right to decide any changes to the submitted plans without notice.

Please note

  • On the day of the concert each school is responsible for the safety of the children under their control.
  • Venue Risk Assessments will be available in the Teacher Centre in the Autumn Term.
  • The arena's are not Learning Outside of the Classroom (LOTC) Accredited
  • Schools are advised to bring a packed tea for the 5pm break as schools will not be able to leave the venue
  • Schools are responsible for hiring a coach to and from venues.
  • Schools are responsible for all parking fees
  • All children and adults in the choir must wear a YV Choir T-shirt or a plain white top during the concert. This helps with the lighting effects, during the concert, please advise all assisting staff members.
  • We strongly advise you to take your choir children back to your school after the concert, this is the safest and most efficient way to reunite children with their parents and carers.

Full information, including drop off points and parking will be available towards the end of the year and can be found in the Teacher Resources section under the Teacher Centre.

Young Voices also has a Health & Safety Policy of our own that we use to be sure all processes and communication adhere to the latest health and safety act. Our Health & Safety Policy as well as our six core policies (Data Protection, Child Protection, etc.) can be found in Legalities.
