Young Voices Ireland

Ireland has always held a special place with the YV family due to the original Young Voices concerts being held in Dublin.

The first concert was held at the Point Theatre in Dublin in 1995. This single concert was such a success that the following year saw in excess of 9,000 children perform across three different concert dates. After 19 years, Young Voices Ireland is proud to have seen 190,000 children pass through its doors.

Young Voices South Africa

In 2008, the Young Voices South Africa project saw 500 children come together to perform at City Hall in Cape Town. With the aim to encourage the integration of all South African children, regardless of background, Young Voices South Africa believed that by singing together you can help build a better place to live.

‘For young people this will be a unique project that will not be easily forgotten. It will be a building block in our effort to become a nation that rejoices in its diversity and sings and laughs together.’ – Archbishop Desmond Tutu

They performed with guest artists Hip Hop Pantsula, Danny K, Incha, Pretty Yende, and Given Nkosi.

Côr World Choir

Wales is known throughout the world as the “Land of Song” a country where music has brought communities together for generations. What better way to celebrate this sense of culture than to share it with the world by inviting them back to Wales and to the capital city of Cardiff to perform in a stadium that was built for such an epic performance.

The original World Choir concerts of 1992 & 1993 featured Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Conductor Owain Arwel Hughes and a host of other performers that captivated sell-out audiences in Cardiff Arms Park. The S4C live broadcast had the highest viewing figures for any program and the resulting album on EMI Classics stayed at number one in the classical charts for over a month.

Adult choirs travelled from South Africa, France, Ukraine, Australia and the USA and over 20 years on people still share the memories of those fabulous events.

Côr World Choir is a one-off concert scheduled to take place in 2021 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
