2019 Season

To assist with our mission to provide a musical experience for children that will inspire a love of music and that they will remember for the rest of their lives - Young Voices selects guest artists to take part in our concerts. Each artist is the top of their field and someone who reflects the values of YV. From Gary Barlow to Alexandra Burke, amazing artists have been singing alongside your children and this year is no exception!

A brief note about this year's artists

We are VERY excited to be bringing you three artists for the 2019 season that each shine in their own way. Read more about the people you'll be sharing a stage with!

Tony Hadley

Tony went on to front 80s Romantics, Spandau Ballet, earning himself the accolade of being one of pop music’s greatest vocalists. The band had numerous chart topping singles and albums all over the world, including the epic “Through the Barricades” and of course the international number one “True” and the unofficial London Olympics theme “Gold”. By the mid-80s they were world-wide superstars however, relationships cracked and the band split in 1990. Following two well documented reunions, which generated the critically acclaimed rockumentary “Soulboys of the Western World”, Tony has now left the band permanently and returned to his successful solo career, writing, recording and performing. As a solo Artist Tony has performed across the world both with his band and with orchestras.  This year will see Tony release his highly anticipated first solo album in many years, songs from which he will showcase on his February European Tour and subsequent summer UK and European festival dates.

Sharlene Hector is a singer/songwriter, currently living in South London. During her career, she has most recently worked as a backing vocalist with Emeli Sandé, Hurts, Lalah Hathaway, Tinie Tempah, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Louisa Johnson and Aloe Blacc to name a few. Over the years she has worked with Sam Sparro, Primal Scream, The Horrors, Rebecca Ferguson, Wretch 32, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger, Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson & Paloma Faith, Kano and Blonde. Sharlene is also part of The Soul Family Sunday band where she performs alongside Natalie Williams once a month at the World famous Jazz club, Ronnie Scott’s.

Beau Dermott

Following her spellbinding performance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, Beau Dermott – the girl with the big voice and big heart signed a major deal with Decca Records. She may be just 14 year sold, but Beau’s astonishing voice is already insured for £1 million pounds. Beau shot to fame when her electrifying audition on BGT earned her the golden buzzer from judge Amanda Holden – taking her straight into the live finals.

Beaus’s album Brave draws from Beau’s passion for musical theatre and features the song that catapulted her to fame, ‘Defying Gravity’, as well as a host of classic favourites.
Something truly magical happens when 14-year-old Beau stands on stage, and her angelic voice has already captured the hearts of the nation and Beau soars to the highest notes with grace, power and maturity that transcends her years.

About our amazing venues

With over 22 concerts across the nation we are excited to be using some of the best arenas in the world! Your children will be performing where artists like Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Take That, and many more have performed.

Manchester Arena has been home to YV for all 22 years! On 29 Feb, 2016 Manchester Arena renamed their arena to the Young Voices Arena in honour of our 20th Anniversary. Manchester Arena has the highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the United Kingdom and hosts one of our largest choirs (8,000 children!).

Young Voices has been going to The O2 Arena in London since it opened 10 years ago! The O2 Arena is the world's busiest music arena, even surpassing New York City's Madison Square Garden. Last year we were awarded the 'Key to The O2' for having 21 performances at the arena. An honour only given to 4 other artists: Take That, One Direction, Prince, and Michael Mcintyre!

Each venue is unique and adds to the whole YV experience. We've gathered all information regarding parking, how to get there, and facilities into one easy place. Simply click on your venue to see details.
