Urban Strides are The Street Dance Specialists. Known for their motivational and dynamic approach they specialise in performances, workshops, master classes and community work throughout the UK. Their work has been seen on 36 TV Channels, in 128 countries and by 1.73 billion people worldwide. This year, Urban Strides were extremely proud to launch the World’s 1st Accredited Street Dance Teacher Training Qualification.

They pride themselves on their innovation, passion and raw on-stage energy. It is this sterling reputation that has paved the way for performances seen in 128 countries worldwide.

As a crew they have performed alongside major international stars such as Dizzee Rascal, Sean Paul and X Factor Alexandra Burke. They were the first crew in the world to open the Royal Variety Performance in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen alongside UK Beat Box legend Killa Kella.

Following on from their spectacular performance at the Royal Variety performance Urban Strides were invited to perform at the launch of the new Vauxhall Corsa with international reggae star Sean Paul. Vauxhall were so impressed by Urban Strides they became their vehicle sponsors.

Due to their continued success Blue Peter dedicated a whole show to Urban Strides, they opened and closed the show as well as teaching the London Children’s ballet company how to street dance! Following on from their breathtaking performances Urban Strides were asked to be featured artists on the Young Voices Tour 07 and due to a phenomenal amount of feedback have been asked back this year to bring a hip hop flavour to the Concerts.

Their work has spanned a wide variety of media including: various pop videos, TV adverts, sold out festivals, stage shows, documentaries, DVD’s, West End theatres and international events including workshops and performances in Los Angeles, Cannes and Prague.

It is Urban Strides’ mission to bring authentic Street Dance delivered with vibrancy and passion to people from all walks of life. With this in mind, Urban Strides become the first street dance crew in the UK to release their very own authentic “Pure Street Dance DVD”. The DVD features some of the coolest moves including how to body pop, wave and glide just like Usher.
