Young Voices achieves new Guinness World Record

Most Backing Singers to One Lead Vocalist

A New Guinness World Record

On the 6th March 2012, Young Voices achieved a brand new Guinness World record during Connie Talbot’s version of “Run” at the O2 Arena London.

During the actual performance, 6032 backing singers, including teachers and their choirs took part on the record attempt whilst being monitored by the official Guinnes World Record adjudicator.

Once the attempt finished the staff and teachers at the arena had only minutes to collate the numbers and get them back to the adjudicator in time for an announcement at the end of the show. Fortunately, due to the help and support of all those on the night – WE DID IT.

Thanks you to all our teachers for their support and help on the night and CONGRATULATIONS to Young Voices and Connie Talbot for achieving their 3rd Guinness World Record each.
